Job Description :

• Implement and maintain database code in the form of stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc.
• Perform various day-to-day activities such as ad-hoc data exports, manipulation and analysis of large data sets, reports, bulk data updates, and investigation of data issues.
• Analyze database problems, and recommend and develop solutions by applying industry best practices of database design, implementation, and deployment.
• Perform query optimization for poorly performing queries.
• Work closely with stakeholders to determine project requirements, perform analysis to create a statement of work and provide time estimates.
• Define, develop, and maintain reports/dashboards written in SSRS/Tableau.

Desired Skills :

• Excellent knowledge of T-SQL, development and debugging of stored procedures, UDFs and triggers.
• Experience in database query/ performance optimisation.
• Beginner/ Intermediate level skills in designing reports using SSRS.
• Working knowledge of a version control system (GIT, SVN, TFS or any other) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with database administration in SQL Server is desirable.
• Familiarity with NoSQL technologies is desirable.
• Knowledge of standards and best practices when it comes to writing database code.
• Willingness to learn recent technologies and innovative ways of approaching projects.
• Effective communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned work with minimal supervision.
• Strong behavioural skills including but not limited to problem-solving, work prioritization, communication, self-direction, and time management.
